A very eloquent and thoughtful tribute, I admit I am not a huge Foos fan but I respect what they do and no doubt Taylor's loss is a huge shock to the music world for all of the reasons you mention here. He seemed like a good egg, that makes it even sadder. I genuinely felt like I was grieving when Elliott Smith died, that was the only musician's death that I can recall that really beat me up but obviously it is always extra sad when someone we look up to or respect passes far too young. Hawkins had much more rocking out in him, it is unthinkable how hard it must be for his bandmates. Thanks for paying tribute to him, you have every right to grieve and I am sorry for your loss, it is real and it matters.
