I made it. Now what?

I made it. Today is day 30 of my frankly insane self-imposed writing challenge. Um, yay me?

So I just deleted a longer piece trying to sum up my experience of my 30-day writing challenge. There were screenshots of before and after views and reads and yada yada — but I became bored with it all myself. The long and short of it is: in terms of all that buzzy Medium stuff, it was a bust. My views and reads ARE up (yay?) but I am still on track to make less than I did two months ago when I published five, not thirty things.

Not to discourage anyone who wants to have a bash at a 30-day writing challenge, just because I found it overwhelming and stressful and ultimately maybe a waste of my time lol! You might be luckier than me.

I feel like I’m on a losing streak here, and this was me trying to trick my way out of it with a bit of algorithmic razzle dazzle I suppose. But she works in ever more mysterious ways, the algo, and I guess like Bono I must learn to say “It’s alright”.
