Gorgeous writing and story Deb, so enveloping and vivid! Pre-teen me is jealous of this whole situation I won't lie! I like how you recall the feelings that were maybe overwhelming/too mature for the body you were in, we think we are so grown up at that age but the reality of those feelings is maybe more than we are prepared for.
