Humor is another ball game in my experience, they take it quite seriously and are very exacting with style/format and content, far more than any other genre I write in. Having had self published humor pieces boosted, and this (rejected by one pub, accepted in another) also boosted, I am trying to balance trusting my own instincts with taking advice where I do feel it's needed. It's quite confusing for me as a writer, as I know there is always room for improvement but with humor they either like it or they don't in my experience so far. 🤷‍♀️
