I am glad it worked out, but agree it was a risk and not necessarily safe. But then you never would have had this slightly strange adventure! Most people are good, it's just too bad we have to presume the opposite for our own safety sometimes. I do remember a time when mobile phones were everywhere but for international travellers it was a problem and we got left out while travelling with communication ability. Nowadays there would not be a phone booth which is a little scary too, we are less connected in some ways I think!
