I am in a slightly different position in that I don't own the home I live in so it will never really feel like mine. I definitely play the real estate browsing game, you are right the presentation of perfectly shiny, streamlined homes aren't sustainable long term though. Glad you are able to enjoy the imperfect quirks that make your house a home!
