I am so sorry for her shortened life but you gave her love and safety and contentment and that isn't meaningless. You were so young, and had to do it all yourself, just heartbreaking I am sure and I understand why it is so painful, you had so much responsibility too young but your heart was brave to take on the challenge of the kittens. It's so sad animals aren't treated better, it happens everywhere but it really shouldn't.
