I can only begin to imagine the disparity between feeling safe and accepted one minute, and then have the targeted hate of attacks on LGBTQ communities come in and rattle that. I think it's hard for older generations to change their mindsets in some ways, but then again most people who are old now lived through Stonewall and other important changes to gay rights. I hope it ends someday and everyone can feel safe to live and love as they want.It definitely feels like things have gone backwards in recent years and that is disturbing.
