I can see what you mean, completely, and am sure there is some truth to this. Weirdly when it comes to this kind of thing I have become the "don't take no for an answer" person as I am married to a Brit and they could literally be on fire and not ask for water if it might be perceived as bothersome! A lot of times I have gotten us some semblance of customer service when he had given up at the first hurdle. I don't honestly know if I would have become this way were I not married to such a pushover lol!
