I didn't enter the term witch casually/as a joke per se although I can understand why it might have read that way. I just sensed (with my middle aged witchy nose 😅😉) it might bear fruit. Love the parallels you draw here, I would not be at all surprised if witches' persecution coincided with them outliving their fertility/value to ye olde patriarchy.
