I found a lot of (and still do sometimes) how to do various things on Medium articles helpful personally as a newb, I don't think certain things are well explained by Medium and and if they are they aren't easy to find imo.

But other than that agree with most of what you say. I think a lot of quality, sincere writing still exists here, it's just not boosted by the alogrithm for some reason and I don't know if we can counter that as readers because new members especially are always going to click on articles about Medium (I know I did). I would actually be in favor of de-monetizing articles about Medium, I think that would be the best shot at minimizing a lot of the repetitive, sometimes click baity type stuff. Sometimes I do want to write about site issues/experiences for whatever reason, I like that we have the option but I also think publications should really consider how much Medium-centric content they want to feature.
