I get curated pretty often, it doesn't equate to tons of reads and longevity in my experience. I know this was once the case but in my six months here I get the impression curation is not what it was. Big writers with thousands of followers don't need curation to get reads so I take anything they advise with a grain of salt. It is good advice to adhere to Medium guidelines and write the best quality content you can, good writing is eventually rewarded with return reads. But the whole curation is a golden ticket narrative isn't one I believe anymore.
