I get my hackles up when everything feels conformist lol, I turn into the little gothy teenager I once was. Just don't fence me in creatively, I frickin hate it, I can totally see why you resist having your work diluted or tampered with too. A lot of the "edits" I receive are because an editor doesn't get some of the quirks in my writing style and it drives me nuts. I don't want to smooth all my rough edges lol.
