I have a friend who has struggled to get her high functioning but clearly suffering with many obvious autism symptoms teen daughter diagnosed for a couple of years now, I have only become aware of how underdiagnosed it is in girls because of her struggle. I think many who have spent their lives blending in into adulthood are probably somewhere on the spectrum. I was a daydreamer who stared out the window all day in grade school but because I got good grades it was never questioned. Also an INFP, very easy to dismiss as dreamy introvert. I don't know if I am neurodivergent but I have often had friends think I was quirky or spacy or other non-"normal" things. Also highly focused/obsessive when I get stuck into something. Ack, who knows. Good luck with your journey.
