I have lived here for a lot longer so this was fun to read (cough you aren't grumpy like me about various British life things!). I agree the NHS is much better than American healthcare in many ways but it is definitely becoming less and less functional sadly. I do appreciate the ease (not the expense though) of the public transport system and a lot of the social characteristics of the culture too. I do wish the UK had become more, not less European in my time here, there are so many things that are nearly great that they shoot themselves in the foot with.
