I have never seen the film somehow, really must rectify that. Your wonderful reverie captured much of what I imagine to be its essence, and a similar small town vibe to be like. Small college towns are one thing, they always have a new source of life every year. I was always fascinated by the people who were from or never left my small college town. My h.s. hometown was not exactly small but small enough to recognize/experience elements of this during my own time there. We had sports teachers and athletes who were their kids, schoolmates of mine went on to be the coaches, the roots that grow in these scenarios are strong. Lovely piece Terry.
