I have only seen manatees in the wild (or the ones in rehab at the aquarium), I have been tempted by the encounters with them but have mixed feelings about intruding on their natural habitat. They are such slow swimmers it seems a bit unfair to just bombard them with hordes of snorkellers in the river. The iguanas haven't made it up to my mom's, yet!
