I removed a similar but maybe more casual friendship after about a decade so I can relate. It can't have been easy with someone you once considered close, well done on valuing yourself enough to do it, especially as it was probably extra hard after so much time with them in your life. I have also had a different friend post the passive aggressive quotes after some truly shocking behavior on their part, some people are always the victim of their own narrative even when they are the asshole lol. 🙄
