I say go for it Yana, there is a huge market for it and the self-published authors in the genre seem to do quite well who break through. I think if you do your research, invest what you can in an editor, and the marketing/cover, it could be a great success. Obviously there is some risk involved but anything I have read about self-publishing has told me that a little bit of investment is pretty vital if you want to be a success (I would read up on it some as well if I were you). Agree with others I really don't think you need a writing class unless you want to test an audience, which you already have here, so you could always just publish a few sample chapters here and ask for genuine feedback, which I have seen many Medium authors do.
