Ok for real. Please, for the love of God just go watch The Wire. I was like you once: skeptical, sarcastic — like “yeah whatever I’ll watch it when I GET TO IT ok, how many shows really matter that much?” This one. This one matters the most. Seriously.
Alright then.
Last year I finally watched The Wire for the first time. Ain’t no box set party like a third Covid lockdown in a row box set party am I right fellow British peeps?
Watching The Wire felt like some sort of chore I would eventually have to tick off, just to say I had. Was it really that great? I secretly thought. As my mother recently said after initially complaining she couldn’t get into it at first:
“I stayed up too late, I can’t stop watching The Wire”

“Gotta go, I have to finish The Wire!”
