I visited Norway three years ago (Bergen and a few fjord tour surrounds) and really enjoyed the atmosphere and attitude of people there. Calm, as you say. It was expensive - although our hotel was very reasonable for the quality I thought. Little things in the pharmacy were at least double if not triple what they would be in th UK, which was a bit of a shock! I got the impression the living standard/wages must make up fo this though. Such a beautiful country and I would like to see more of it someday. I can imagine America is all a bit much coming from there, I find it a culture shock when I visit now and I was raised there!
