I would be surprised if it goes under completely, the site has the past glory of name recognition and great Google ranking (for now) but so many are doing poorly and leaving. They need to do something to incentivize writers or it will just be a total AI garbage dump before long. I have no answers re: other sites, Vocal has been a waste of time for me. I like the idea of Substack but can see how it won't pan out for most of us. Sucks to be a writer on the internet right now!
