I'm no expert but I can't imagine why a mental health professional would give you an end date like this, it seems designed to make a person stress. So yes I think that is really understandable, and I don't even do therapy, even just hearing that makes me anxious on your behalf. Honestly it would make me inclined to switch to someone who didn't set limits like that. I am pretty sure I have some sort of low level depression partly as a result of grief, I just don't think anyone can say anything that will make me feel better, I don't really want to talk about it out loud, idk. I think it's natural, we are suffering, it's a lonely time, and sadly most people let you down. I think maybe a grief support group might be the only thing I might feel comfortable with but then again everyone's experience is different so maybe not lol. Writing helps, sometimes. I feel like a little while ago you mentioned physical activity was helping take you out of your head a bit (sorry if I am imagining this). Maybe you could join a casual sports club or take a class. I hope it gets better, I know where you are at in some ways and I am so sorry, it's tough.
