I'm sorry you lost your connection to your church, but glad you placed your own spiritual and emotional needs first. My Mom was raised Catholic, but I was raised with almost zero religion partly based on her experience so I have had to find my own way with what I believe. I can see why the atmosphere of the church is something that comforted you, it's too bad some of them don't value parishioners for more than their financial donations.
