It's gotten ridiculous that everywhere we go we are expected to download apps, scan qr codes (at least in the UK). It's downright ageist and financially unviable for many to have the latest technology in their pockets, companies should be helpful about offering alternatives to their enforced tech but they rarely are. Really gets my goat too, sorry! I had a doctor's appointment cancelled awhile ago and didn't know until I got there, I didn't have my mobile on because I'm not attached at the hip to it, and they never once thought to call my landline. People are braindead/washed nowadays.
