Medium's idea of "fun" seems to be tepid poems and uh, middle America zaniness about snack foods or some such. The edgy/truly funny stuff and satire seems doomed for sure if they don't employ someone with a funny bone, stat. But like you say some will still write for fun, it's not really fair though and will make it a dull place before long if more writers decamp.
