Oh Fish, you got it all sorted out in the end! My Mom had a Fish type rescue too, he just did what he wanted and showed affection in his own way and like you say eventually it all works out. Thanks for sharing this imperfectly perfect rescue story, it's important people temper expectations with reality. I think too many people give up on rescues without allowing for the kind of new growth and "compromise" you describe here. :-)
