Really sorry you had to deal with that. I am new here so I don't understand some of it but agree with everything you write re: writing style. Confused how on earth someone could take major issue with a title? I just encountered some insensitive/rude comments on someone's post for the first time, which was disappointing as it was a subject that involved mental health. Mostly it seems ok/supportive here and I hope none of the bad eggs poison the atmosphere,

There is a huge amount of diversity in style and ability here on Medium as far as I can see, critiquing style is something that I guess editors have to hone but it should always be done with great care and compassion in my opinion, which it sounds like was sorely missing here. It takes so much bravery to submit something I imagine (I haven't tried yet!), I hope it doesn't put you off.
