Some people's answer to low moments is to get outside yourself, which can be helpful, in theory but also if you have nothing to give it's completely understandable/nothing to be ashamed about. I don't feel like society really honors or gives any adequate time for grief either, take all the time you need or are able to. Maybe find a non-religious group like a book group or something if you feel unsupported in those places. Hugs.
