Sounds heavenly, I will try to remember to go with the flow if I am ever lucky enough to dine at such places! Our local Italian has authentic regional cooking and used to lay the hospitality on a bit more, a free shot of limoncello at the end of the meal, which they quit doing a couple years ago and I thought was kind of sad/took the shine off the place a bit for me. I guess they have been in Scotland too long! Wonderfully transporting descriptions, would definitely read a part two or three or four! ;-)
