Thank god I don't have kids, I could not handle the teen angst I think! You sound like you have the right idea about leaving her to it/not feeding into the drama too much. I know this will make me sound like an old fart but I have often felt in my encounters with (some of) the generations after mine that it's a minor miracle they are alive. They seem SO mollycoddled some of them it's unreal. As many mistakes as my parents made I don't expect the world to conform to me, sure maybe I did as a teenager (in fairness to your daughter, who I am sure will grow out of it too), but there are young adults living in the world expecting it to just...accommodate their every whim it's crazy to me. Grumpy old Gen X rant over lol! I think you are a great mom for not overindulging reactions that (in theory) won't help her in the future. She needs to learn to draw boundaries on her own, I know it's not fair and the repurcussions of #metoo have perhaps led younger gens to think they won't have to deal with this stuff anymore, but we as women really need to know how to stand up for ourselves when necessary, imo.
