Thank you for eloquently and accurately putting into words the response to this all too common deflective line of defense from men who don't bother to try to understand our experience on any meaningful level. It's not emotion or pre-formed ideas (and even if it was, so what, the facts back us up as you say), it's lived experience. SO hard not to react to this shallow line of thought with rage, well done for expressing this so rationally and powerfully. If only men would listen and care without having to be dads or know someone who has suffered abuse or assault.
