Thanks for writing this, I think many people mistake self-centered people for narcissists and throw the term around willy nilly. Narcissists are much better at seeming like they care lol. I do have some friends who are totally self absorbed, they are old friends and have been there for me in some ways but also you can't really rely on them either. Maybe some people would cut that out altogether but I value friendships that have had some give and take and longevity.
