That is the latest statistic. But there are more and more common cancers that if caught early can be treated non-invasively. But rates are climbing with rarer cancers too. Possibly because more people have access to healthcare than in previous decades but who knows. Shannen was Stage IV, it was in her bones so sadly there is no coming back from that. She lasted longer than most would, I guess her body finally gave up. 💔 Probably a blessing, hate to say it but my grandpa ended up on a morphine drip in horrible pain, wasted away, also stage IV. That was 30 yrs ago, I think nowadays palliative care would allow less prolonged suffering.
