The engagement just isn't there for me anymore. I read over 30 articles for a project I was helping out on, not necessarily expecting many return reads as they weren't my regular readers, but I don't think I got any reads back at all. It didn't used to be like that, it's like the newer writers really don't get it. It's definitely worse when we stop engaging too, but it's just such hard work now, so many good writers are leaving.
