There's the rub, you can't force it, in my experience there is not a lot of rhyme or reason. This is why I get annoyed that so many publications are putting this pressure on writers to try to perform a boost like a circus trick with everything we write. Making lists of boosted articles and such, it irks me so much onus is being placed on it. Plenty of great writing remains unboosted here.
