They really did have a different class of acting pedigree in these back then. I haven't seen a few of these, will check them out if I can. I will watch Poseidon Adventure any time it is on (I even like the remake!). I didn't realize that about the Doctor Who ep, fun fact! I have never seen it but Rollercoaster was partially filmed in my hometown, Ocean View/Norfolk, Va. I grew up with the amusement park being a ghost of itself then it got torn down (I think the locals all gathered to watch the coaster get blown up during the shoot but it was slightly before my time).
