This was wonderful! One of the most vivid, astute observations of British (well English) character I have ever read! A certain ilk anyway. As an ugly American in Scotland I have often felt the unspoken judgement when I commit a faux pas too - I once sent back a thoroughly burnt plate of food in a restaurant and everyone looked at me like I was an uncouth animal. Maybe my third generation Irish roots were showing! 😂. Coronation chicken is disgusting, couldn't agree more!
