Very apt and brilliantly argued throughout. I like that you mention a couple of positives too, it's very easy living abroad to get caught up in how crazy stupid America can seem/plus it's reinforced by insecure Europeans as an easy target. But there is also a lot to love and miss.

Now I really have no idea what the UK's excuse is, we are more like a grandparent that thinks it knows everything, gets lazily racist and nationalistic just because there is nothing else going on, and votes for people who are arguably as bad as Trump but still has a sense of superiority over other nations despite historic levels of poverty and inflation and other shit show happenings.
