Well that orthodontist sounds like he was designed to test you, what a strange man not to understand! I had to switch orthodontists three times because we moved state, then the second one retired. That phase with the rubber bands was the worst. I did thank my Mom eventually though, as I'm sure yours will too someday! ;-)
