Would a Real Life Hallmark Meet Cute Be Creepy?
It’s more complicated in person

Recently, while back in America I had a steady supply of my drug of choice on tap. Hot cocoa wielding hunks and frazzled career girls were on near constant rotation at my mom’s house thanks to the Hallmark channel.
In the UK I usually settle for scraps — last year’s films or older for the most part as we don’t have the Hallmark channel, and the Hallmark UK app is devoid of most of the latest films as well (something I discovered last year while trying it out in December).
So the fresh supply of non-taxing holiday happy endings was gorged upon as a welcome distraction during a tough time.
All of this to say, I am just about Hallmarked out. I acknowledge the silliness of most of the set ups. I even made a joke the other day about their cliched improbability to a family member bemoaning the impossible Hallmark romantic chance meeting myth.
But life is funny sometimes.
