Wow, fun trip down memory lane! I definitely remember the Different Strokes episode. Weirdly I don't remember the Punky Brewster and I am the same age as you and I know I watched it - maybe my parents didn't let me watch it? Even though I watched in happen live on tv in my classroom. I also loved original Degrassi, it was the closest thing to real teenage life back in the day for sure. We also had a thing in America called Afterschool Specials and they were ALL very special episodes, the creepiest one was probably the one that had Ted Danson play a pedophile - I don't think my parents knew I watched half the stuff I watched growing up in the 80s lol! I really want to see that Tom Hanks Family Ties now I think I vaguely remember it too!
