Wow, Mary, I am sorry you went through this. genuinely shocked that if nothing else not a single staff member checked on you. Glad you were ok in the end but that must have been terrifying and upsetting. We all like to think we live in a world that is better than this. I hope that is the case but this is a good reminder to always offer help even if there is any doubt.
